Microsoft has recently announced the general availability of “Flow”.  “Flow” allows for the creation  of workflows to automate tasks across applications and platforms – with support for many services provided out of the box, providing simple configuration.   There are more than 60 listed by Microsoft – and include Salesforce, DropBox, Dynamics365 and Jira.  On premise data sources can also be used.  Creation of workflows does not require development knowledge and can be done by “power users” in the organisation.

As an example, Microsoft Flow would allow the creation of a workflow task that would handle the automatic capturing of tweets, the creation of leads in Dynamics 365 under certain conditions, and integrating to Mailchimp.
